May 2018 New Moon in Taurus: A New Beginning

ON TUESDAY MAY 15, 2018 THE TAURUS 2018 NEW MOON MOVES US INTO RESET TO ROOT AND REFLECT.

The May 2018 New Moon occurs on Tuesday, May 15, in native sensual and grounding Taurus. 

The Taurus New Moon brings foundation and strength to our personal relationships and romantic life. Are you acting in oneness or separation? This Taurus New Moon Ritual is called "Rooting."

What you will need for this meditation and ceremony:

• the earth

The Meditation: 

Begin the meditation by stretching and releasing the tension in your body. Place extra attention on releasing pressure in your head and neck. 

Once you feel that your body is more relaxed and pliable, find a comfortable position and begin to tune in with your breathe. 

Once you have aligned with your breathe, begin to take slow deep, long, graceful breathes, until you feel called to release. Do this several times for 3-5 minutes. 

Once you are into a relaxed meditative state, imagine you are a tree. Imagine your tree has bright colors and each color represents a part of you. Now allow this tree to release upon you. Do not give it any instructions, just follow it, observe, you are not the teacher -- you are the student. 

Visualize the roots of the tree. What do they look like? What do they feel like? What are they connected too? What do the colors mean? How does each color make you feel? Does anyone's face come up? What thoughts come when you think about the roots of your tree? Can you identify the source of your roots? 

Spend no more than 5 minutes with your tree and then return to your breathe. 

Take several deep breathes with the intention to come back peacefully into your conscious body. 

When you feel called...Return. 

Journal, Paint or Express to Self what you experienced. 

The Ceremony: 

Once you have completed the meditation, go spend a minimum of 30 minutes connected with Earth. Use this sacred time to reflect on your rooting journey and its messages. 

While you are rooting with Earth imagine yourself sending back the love energy that was given to you during meditation. 

Once you feel it is time to finish your ceremony, give thanks to the Earth and your tree for their existence.
