Taurus Season 2020: What You Need To Know
On Sunday, April 19, 2020, at 10:45 A.M. EST, the Sun will begin its four-week transit through Taurus, officially kicking off this year’s season of Bull.
With the Sun now in the second sign of Taurus until May, the universe is inviting you to slow down and get grounded, especially after all the “go go go” brought up by Aries Season.
If the past four weeks have been anything but calm, the Sun in Aries likely had something to do with it.
Since March 19, the Aries Sun has brought new cycles, patterns, and timelines to your everyday life, many tied to the planets Jupiter, Pluto, and Saturn — the big 3 for 2020.
After intense conjunctions between Mars and Saturn in progressive Aquarius in March and another one between Jupiter and Pluto on April 4, it’s safe to say that Aries Season 2020 was unlike anything you’ve ever seen (or seen in a very long time).
Yet, like all things in life, this season of Fire must come to an end. On Sunday, April 19, 2020, at 10:45 A.M. EST, the Sun will begin its four-week transit through Taurus, officially kicking off this year’s season of Bull.
In astrology, where the Sun is in your transit chart determines your current focus and energetic vibration. It represents your personality and current state of being.
With the Sun now in the second sign of Taurus until May, the universe is inviting you to slow down and get grounded, especially after all the “go go go” brought up by Aries Season.
During this season, it is best to secure a solid routine you can rely on. Perhaps it’s time to start your mornings with yoga or complete your day with meditation, whatever is necessary for you to achieve the growth this solar cycle can bring, especially to your self-worth, finances, and investment portfolios.
One thing I’ve noticed over the years is that Taurus thrives in environments that nurture patience over procrastination, and truth over speed.
You may want to rush, skip steps, and just hop back into the immediate flow of things, but that would be unwise. The energy of Taurus favors precision and systemization. There is no need to force or rush now. Take your time.
Taurus Season By the Transits
If I could sum up Taurus Season in one word, it would be BUSY. From two Mercury transits; Mars entering the last sign of its transit in Pisces before it enters Aries until January 2021; Pluto, Jupiter, Venus, and Saturn stationing retrograde (almost all at the same time), and the intense Taurus New Moon and Scorpio Full moon, this season will be anything but boring.
But even underneath so much transition is perfect peace, perfect stillness, and perfect love. Luckily for you, this is the best season to lock in and tap into it. Here are a few of the major transits that will be occurring this month. Sun and Uranus Conjunct: On April 26, at 5:01 AM, theSun will conjunct Uranus at exactly 6 Taurus. This aspect is the conception point for significant changes to our global and individual economies. A new paradigm of abundance consciousness is being born.
This conjunction also points to new streams of passive income and investments. Society as a whole is more interested and aware of financial literacy. A rise in practical, “necessity-based” topics like accounting, stocks, and trading will become more popular.
I also feel strongly about this energy leading to innovations in the hospitality and food & beverage industries, as Taurus rules food/comfort and Uranus rules progress.
Taurus New Moon: On April 22, the Taurus New Moon highlights an inner drive for security and comfort. It stabilizes the truth-seeking ideas and ambitions of Aries Season and encourages you to come to terms with the infinite abundance available to you, laying the groundwork for the next six months.
Mercury enters Taurus: On April 27, Mercury leaves fiery Aries and joins the Sun in strong-willed Taurus. This shift inevitably brings a reality check. Any impulsive thoughts, get rich quick schemes, and unrealistic expectations will get weeded out now. This brings your attention to the core principles of your life. Keyword: what actually matters and how can you best sustain this moving forward?
Scorpio Full Moon: On May 7, the Sun in Taurus will oppose the Scorpio Moon, creating the cosmic event known as the “Full Moon.” This year’s Scorpio Full Moon brings realization to the insecurities and inner blockages that slowly corrode and cause an imbalance in your production/energy centers. It brings awareness to the choices, relationships, beliefs, habits, and subconscious behaviors that give you life and what sucks that life away.
Annual Retrograde Season: Every year the outer planets station retrograde. This year, during Taurus Season, Pluto will station retrograde in Capricorn on April 25, Saturn will station retrograde in Aquarius on May 11, and Jupiter will station retrograde in Capricorn on May 14. This influx of retrograde energy brings deep reflection to the subtle external influences penetrating your energetic sphere.
With Jupiter and Pluto creating intense conjunctions twice more this year, pay close attention to the messages and patterns they create in your chart. It may be helpful to research and study the influence of Jupiter and Pluto at the time you were born. For example, what major generational themes were unfolding at this time, and how do you see them playing out (or integrated) into the current energy output today?
Venus Retrograde in Gemini: With Venus stationing retrograde for the first time since October 2018, Venus’ retrograde at exactly Gemini on May 13 encourages you to relinquish some of the stubbornness of Taurus Season and incorporate more curiosity and genuine interest in your relationships.
In regards to Taurus Season, you may realize that you and your partner have nothing in common, nothing. You may realize that you were together out of convenience. Or you may realize that you share more than you know, and this retrograde season brings that back to your awareness so you can reconnect to this excitement moving forward.

May, the month of flowers, mothers, and cinco de mayo is known for its beauty and showering of love. According to multiple sources, the month of May got its name from the Greek Goddess Maia, the Goddess of Fertility. In the Gregorian and Julian Calendar, May is the 5th month of the year.
Each month carries a numerical essence based on the present calendar year. For 2019, May carries the numerical essence of eight. In traditional numerology, the number eight symbolizes power, authority, management, wealth, debt, karma, and death.
May’s eight essence inspires creative power. Areas that influence business, legacy, self-improvement, money, and shared resources are highlighted. With Saturn, Pluto, and Jupiter retrograde until late summer and early fall, our efforts are more focused and intentional. Last month left us inquisitive and anxious for answers. This month gives us the confidence (and hard knocks) we need to take the steps towards a new enterprise, relationship, or self-improvement project. Eight’s karmic vibration can sometimes bring negative encounters with the law. Double check before you sign any contract, or commit to a high-risk decision.
May begins with a powerful New Moon in Taurus on Saturday May 6th. The New Moon in Taurus brings energies of perseverance and self-sufficiency. Before you take on any large investment, get a clear appraisal of your personal finances, debts, and assets. If you want to go to a new level, you have to know what you’re working with.
Traditional routes may be more promising this month, especially with the Sun still in Taurus until May 21. Even if you are feeling restless, and somewhat bored, this transit will inspire you to set aside your personal emotions and stick it out. Risk is important for growth, but this month depends on practicality. If you want to move forward, you have to be realistic about what you can actually accomplish in the timeframe that you need.
In the beginning of the month relationships continue to explore the medium between independence and interdependence. Couples may find themselves more playful, adventurous, and combative. This is because Venus is still in Aries. Venus will remain in Aries until May 15. On May 15, Venus will enter Taurus until June 8. When Venus is in Taurus, relationships become more serious, goal-oriented, committed. Couples may find themselves having serious conversations about the future, budgeting, and asset control. Intimacy also heightens during this transit. Where Aries was passion, flames, and self-focused, Taurus is intentional, observant, and stubborn. Singles may find this period alluring. It’s the perfect time to think about dating someone for the long — short flings won’t last.
April was an intense month communication wise. Mercury spent most of its transit in fiery Aries after a three-month journey through Pisces. This month Mercury is in Aries until May 6. This transit emphasizes our need to take responsibility for the information we process and share. Personal communications project get a green light, and avoided topics can be addressed. When Mercury moves into Taurus on May 6 until May 21, communications will become more focused and goal oriented. Past ideas and information can be put into shape and form; chaos is transmitted. This transit is best used to do tedious desk work. Focusing on one task at a time will guarantee the best results. Be open minded when talking to other people. Closed minds don’t get fed.
Mercury will enter Gemini on May 21. Mercury will be in Gemini until June 4. When Mercury is in Gemini our communications are often scattered. Gemini is traditionally ruled by Mercury. This transit increases mental stimulation, making it difficult to sometimes focus on one specific task. After an intense Mercury in Taurus cycle, Gemini could feel refreshing, almost like a breath of fresh air. This transit is best used as a test trial. Talk to other people, share your work, ask for feedback and consideration.
Mars, the planet of action and vitality has been in Gemini since the last day of March. When Mars is in Gemini, our actions are rich in mind. This is a period that encourages us to think openly and colorfully. We are more expressive about what we are feeling, and we tend to do this in more dramatic and mysterious ways. During this transit it may be difficult to stay focused on what’s right in front of you, especially if you desire to be somewhere else. Actions without commitment won’t last when Mars is in Gemini. The secret to this transit is using the imagination. If you can believe it in your heart and mind, it will be.
When Mars enters Cancer on May 15 until July 1, the next two months will be a period of emotional action. Mars in Cancer invokes us to act from our emotional center, and family influences are heavy. Our desire to do comes from our need to fulfill ourselves, others, the world. During this transit, pay attention to your cravings and late night addictions. This is a water period, we may be more delayed or “slow” in our movements. It may take you longer to do one thing, so plan accordingly. Mars in Cancer is the perfect time to indulge in creative work regarding the arts, music, dance, cooking, body and womb work, sex. It could also be a time where there is more emphasis on family duties, and the mother.
On May 21 when the Sun enters Gemini, we can expect our personalities to shift with the air. Gemini is a mutable air sign. It doesn’t become obsessed or attached to a thought, person, place or thing. This characteristic can be our best friend or worst enemy during this transit. When the Sun is in Gemini, it it is best to use the intellectualism of Gemini to study and empower your goals. Gemini is all about expression. It needs to express and experience all parts of itself, or internally it will die. When we embody the creative attributes of Gemini, we open ourselves to a limitless well of creative knowledge. Gemini has the ability to absorb facts and information like no other sign. Educate yourself on the information you seek, but remember that it’s just as important to share and play.

For horoscopes I suggest reading your Rising/Ascendant Sign Reading first. Once you’ve read your Rising reading, read your Sun and then your Moon. Store notes and feeling on each. Once you’ve read them all, try and weave them into a story.
Here’s a simple guide to help you:
The Rising Reading: sets the scene and writes the script. this is what and how you experience.
The Sun Reading: casts the play. this is how others experience and play a role in your show.

May 2018 New Moon in Taurus: A New Beginning
The May 2018 New Moon occurs on Tuesday, May 15, in native sensual and grounding Taurus.
The Taurus New Moon brings foundation and strength to our personal relationships and romantic life. Are you acting in oneness or separation? Are you willing to compromise and flow through the disruptions of this current lunar cycle together rather than apart? Is your relationship with money healthy or dependent?
ON TUESDAY MAY 15, 2018 THE TAURUS 2018 NEW MOON MOVES US INTO RESET TO ROOT AND REFLECT.
If you aren't in balance, this Taurus New Moon will "wake" you up. Financial scares and business growth can bring holy bells or gloom. But either way, the experience was the true lesson, what did you learn?
Bust out your planners and your calculators my loves, date night just happened and this time its operation "fancy." Will you splurge on bae at their favorite restaurant? Or will you surprise them with a one night staycation? Either way, sexy time is happening and you will love it.
Although Taurus is a sensual and loving sign, there can be imbalance present as well. Be mindful that you are not over indulging and spending in ways that you don't have the time or the energy, and most importantly, the funds.
This is a time to find new in tradition, find innovative ways to show your love and to gather with your tribe. A movie party or dinner pot luck works for everyone, just make sure to spice up the guest list. Oh, and don't be surprised if that "frenemy" shows up to the party. But there's no need to worry, Bae has made their choice, and so will you, don't engage.
With the Neptune-Jupiter Trine there is support in our overcoming. We are being assisted in our ability to open, express, and give to others what we are seeking in return. This energy is favorable for long lasting marriages, commitments, and lucrative business associations. However, success during this transit requires deep patience, transformation, and trust. Be patient and believe that all will be true. You choose whether you will root or swim.
Love on.
AFFIRMATIONS FOR THIS NEW MOON BASED ON YOUR SUN, RISING, AND MOON SIGN:
I always suggest reading your sun sign first -- this reflects how you outwardly express to others and to Self.
I then suggest reading your moon sign -- this reflects your inner workings and subconscious desires.
Lastly I suggest reading your rising sign -- this reflects the path you will take.
A RITUAL FOR THE NEW MOON
This Taurus New Moon Ritual is called "Rooting."
What you will need for this meditation and ceremony:
your feet
the earth
intention
breathe
love
something to document with
The Meditation:
Begin the meditation by stretching and releasing the tension in your body. Place extra attention on releasing pressure in your head and neck.
Once you feel that your body is more relaxed and pliable, find a comfortable position and begin to tune in with your breathe.
Once you have aligned with your breathe, begin to take slow deep, long, graceful breathes, until you feel called to release. Do this several times for 3-5 minutes.
Once you are into a relaxed meditative state, imagine you are a tree. Imagine your tree has bright colors and each color represents a part of you. Now allow this tree to release upon you. Do not give it any instructions, just follow it, observe, you are not the teacher -- you are the student.
Visualize the roots of the tree. What do they look like? What do they feel like? What are they connected too? What do the colors mean? How does each color make you feel? Does anyone's face come up? What thoughts come when you think about the roots of your tree? Can you identify the source of your roots?
Spend no more than 5 minutes with your tree and then return to your breathe.
Take several deep breathes with the intention to come back peacefully into your conscious body.
When you feel called...Return.
Journal, Paint or Express to Self what you experienced.
The Ceremony:
Once you have completed the meditation, go spend a minimum of 30 minutes connected with Earth. Use this sacred time to reflect on your rooting journey and its messages.
While you are rooting with Earth imagine yourself sending back the love energy that was given to you during meditation.
Once you feel it is time to finish your ceremony, give thanks to the Earth and your tree for their existence.

SOME PLANETARY ASPECTS YOU SHOULD KNOW:
May 15, 2018: Uranus Enters Taurus at 11:16 AM
On Tuesday, May 15, 2018, at 11:16 AM, Uranus, the planet of change, disruption, rebellion, and innovation enters Taurus, the sign of sensuality, security, patience, and renewal. With Uranus shifting into Taurus, expect increased environmentalism, veganism, animal and human rights campaigns, natural disasters, karmic plot twists, financial security or loss, baby making, and debt. Uranus is spontaneous and rebellious. Taurus is methodical and strategic. Together, Uranus and Taurus, create a push-pull 8 year journey that will leave you stretched, resilient, and stable. To get the best of this 8 year life changing transit, allow spontaneity to be your new M.O (still take care of business). Try new things, meet new people, eat odd food, and strengthen your self confidence through community, spiritual practices, and personal relationships.Your mantra for this transit should be: All things are as I am.
Trust the process.
May 16, 2018: Mars Enters Aquarius at 12:55 AM
On Wednesday, May 16, 2018, at 12:55, Mars, planet of action, will, desires, self expression, Enters Aquarius, sign of innovation, intellect, visualization, detachment, and curiosity. With this transit occurring immediately after the Taurus new moon, and the Uranus-Taurus transit, our communication and self expression will be introspective and detached. This dynamic challenges our need to connect and stabilize ourselves within and without.
Be observant more than you speak during this transit. Speak with awareness and intent. Do not find yourself in situations purely for entertainment, lust, or desire. Be certain you have a purpose for what you are doing. If not, get out.
Sexuality and intimate relationships may come to the forefront this week. We tend to seek solitude rather than connectedness. Visualize effortless journeys, completed tasks, soul tribe gatherings, community projects, sweaty sex, and lusty arguments.
May 19, 2018: Venus Enters Cancer at 9:10 AM
On Saturday, May 19, 2018, at 9:10 AM, Venus, planet of love, money, exchange, and values enters Cancer, sign of emotion, purification, balance, dependency, and pleasure. When Venus is in Cancer, we are more sensitive, nurturing, and close knitted with others.
Use this transit to connect with your inner child. Ask your child Self: How do you express your emotion? How do you connect with others? Are you intentionally detached and cold? What does it mean for you to give love? What do you need to feel loved? What hurt feelings do you need to release to heal?
This transit will be an emotional rollercoaster, but you don't have to be miserable. When we open our heart to this energy, we learn the true essence of compassion, and unconditional love.
May 20, 2018: Sun Enters Gemini at 10:15 PM
On Sunday, May 20, 2018, at 10:15 PM, the Sun, planet of identity, self expression, soul's urges, life purpose, and reputation, enters Gemini, sign of polarity, drama, intuition, logical thought, and persuasion. Sun in Gemini people are loving, intense, impersonal, deeply sensitive, and extremely intellectual. With the Sun moving into Gemini, until June 21, when it will then enter Cancer, our outer expressions and inner urges will be driven by our need to understand and gather the facts. During this transit, we are overly talkative and have a deep need to express verbally, which makes gossip a possibility, you should avoid this. Sun in Gemini transits also bring forth all of our hidden desires and wishes. This condition causes us to be slightly scattered and into everything.
Karmic manifestations are also common during this time. Find healthy ways to express your need for drama and excitement. Avoid creating chaos or disruption in your home, work, and personal relationships for stimulation. To counteract this: attend plays, write a song, go to a concert, or take an art class...just whatever you do, stay out of drama.
May 25, 2018: Jupiter Trine Neptune at 5:52 AM
On Friday, May 25, 2018, at 5:52 AM, Jupiter, planet of grace, expansion, inner faith, opportunities, and expression Trines (connects) with Neptune, planet of transcendence, freedom, unification, and higher Self. When these two expansive planets connect energies of heart expansion, a greater humanity emerges. This sacred energy calls us into the most sacred parts of our being, our Highest Self. In this sacred energy, we are called to align with our intuition, and belief. It is common to have experiences with the other side, as clairvoyance, angelic communication, and divine intervention is strengthened. Don't be surprised if synchronicity takes you on a whirlwind ride of "this really happened" syndrome. During Jupiter Trine Neptune transits, nothing is by chance. This increase in synchronicity becomes more and more prevalent as the day goes on. Small chance happenings and meet ups are common, so keep your eyes open. This energy is perfect for group gatherings, and healing sessions focused on collective healing at the global level, and for the Earth.
Its time to share your gift of hope and inspiration with the world. Don't be surprised if divine opportunities miraciously occur with a chance to step brighter into your light. Ask yourself during this transit: how can I be a better service to humanity? To Self? To Earth?
Shine on!
May 29, 2018: Sagittarius Full Moon at 10:19 AM
On Tuesday, May 29, 2018 at 10:19 AM, the Moon, planet of discernment, subconscious mind, inner child, and intuition, enters Sagittarius, sign of adventure, higher education, ambition, restlessness, and travel. With the Sagittarius full moon coming to complete (or bring progress) to what we started during the December 2017 Sagittarius new moon cycle, old projects and teams may be coming to a head or beginning to make successful gains on a venture or mission. With Uranus now in Taurus and Mercury entering Gemini this evening, our communication can be blunt and over dramatic.
The Sagittarius fire energy also brings in skepticism and risk. Things can be confusing during this time so try to remain open to new possibilities.
Use this ambitious full moon to discover innovative ways to expand without going into debt or bankruptcy. Find physical ways to express your fire and pent up energy. This is a great time to reflect on how you are a team player and what value you are bringing as a leader and a participant of the group.
Are you engaged and sincere? Or are you playing devil's advocate and using this opportunity for personal gain? Use this Full Moon as the wake up call you need to go for your dreams.
It's possible.
