October 2018: Love New Moon in Libra Meditation Ritual and Horoscopes
/
“The Moon is always new when you are one one within” - Erykah Badu.
The new Moon in libra is a time of great curiosity. It is a moment in the snapshot of our lives that seeks to find the perfect relationship between
Independence and sharing, selflessness and greed. This pink balsamic moon reflects the healing presence of Venus and her focus for this Retrograde season, chosen peace.
Over the past two or three months of Summer and parts of spring we experienced an intense Retrograde season that included the backward spin of 5-6 planets at one time. This cosmic slow down created decay in our life, a period of shedding and revelation that led to some brave new leap, a epiphany of self-love and service, the desire to reinvent the way we share and love once again, the challenging yet simple road map to inner peace.
Today’s new Moon encourages us to plant new seeds of love and independence. How do you seek love? How do you administer the amount of independent actions in your life? Are you so focused on self-domination that you alienate those who care for you? Or are you ready to cultivate a reality that is inclusive, interdependent of one another’s needs, willing to step into battle for one another at will because that’s what communities do, they show up for one another at all costs.
Be present and heart-full that there is an eliminate to shedding with this new planting Love Moon as Venus continues to dive deeper into her Retrograde cycle in Scorpio. Do not be afraid to let to of old mildewed parts of Self that no longer co-exist with the being that you have become. The new Moon in libra gives us permission to let to of what no longer makes us feel free. It gives us permission to let go in peace.
With Wednesday’s massive show down between Venus and Mars the energy of the new Moon can signify the boiling point of tension in our relationships and families dynamics surrounding fidelity, pleasure, and a new sense of independence. With this 90 degree square, an unfavorable aspect in astrology, it reflects the tension and lack of understanding caused by Venus Rx in transformative/possessive Scorpio and Mars direct and active in Free-spirited\liberating Aquarius.
Monday’s new Moon is the tip of the dramatic iceberg that begins this week. Notice and pay attention to the areas that you are rigid, hungry, and curious for more life, for more freedom, for rebellion. Think about the consequences of this desire, think about the positive, where do they meet in the middle? How can you cultivate this expansion in a way that is authentic yet respectful, honest but direct? Remember that the love of Libra is fair and pure. Being ruled by Venus, the planet of the holy hour, we are reminded to listen to the inner etchings of our heart to design a life that we love without ruining and destroying the relationships, communities, and infrastructures previously and currently being built. Libra can be vengeful, she can be so self-absorbed in her own beauty that she lacks the foresight and the will to choose for herself, to choose the balance of self and others through love.
If you feel lost in this search for independence and co-existence do not feel alone. With the energy of Wednesday’s square seeping into our hearts we are naturally drawn to opposing energies. Accept this natural draw. Purify this confusion energy by getting connected with the root of desire. What do you need to feel independent? What do you need to feel connected? What area of your life does this show up for you? How can you express this first to self then to others in a way that is sincere and honest without sacrificing the individual that is you? Those who get swept in the blinding current of pleasure, independence, and radical liberation may temporarily lose their sense of grounding for Libra is air. An air that is logical and analytical; magnetic and charming, an energy unmatched in her capacity to give and share the justice of love and purity she lives to embody.
Again, if you find yourself lost, stagnant, or set in your ways — think again. Ask yourself are you stuck in your thoughts? If the answer is yes, find a way to get physically in tune with your own energy by seeking solitude, meditation, or reflection.
New boundaries of space and peace is the purpose of this new cycle, hold on to that intention, be honest with yourself, your needs, and the needs of other and all will align. And remember, if it no longer flows, try your best to work it out, but it not, let it go
Affirmation: My love is eternal and everlasting. I allow soul to speak. I allow soul to dictate its needs. I align with a love that is pure, understanding, and respectful of these needs. I honor the needs of Soul therefore I honor the needs of Self. By me honoring the needs of Self, I am able to honor and respect the needs and the love of others. This sense of respect and divinity creates portals of unconditional love and abundance in my life. I am filled with love. My world is filled with love. I fill the world with my love.
A Meditative Ritual for the October 2018 Love Moon in Libra:
Start this meditation by finding a quiet place to unwind, relax, and tap in. Before settling into your meditation pose, posture, or position, locate something to write with, preferably and ink, and a journal or piece of paper to write on. Begin your meditative ritual by placing your hand or fist over your heart/message center. Intentionally clear your mind of all expectations, thoughts, and beliefs on what this should feel like. Do not imagine what you think you hear. Feel what you know you hear. Become the eternal beating drum of your heart. Once you have dissolved all feelings and expectations of the body, find a rhythm that you can hum in your throat. Preferably, it may be best and easiest to simply hum the the rhythm of your heart but if not, find a frequency/vibration/tune that aligns with your throat. Once you have found your hum, breathe it slowly. Allow the air from your nostrils to rise and fall mimicking the hiss of song arising from your throat. Feel the heat and warmth that surrounds your body as you melt into your own individual pace. Allow the love to engulf you, surround you, swallow you into its embrace. Because this moon encourages the emergence of an interdependent society, this meditation is profound for couples, families, and communities seeking to walk in alignment with one another’s individuals needs. This practice encourages each of the one to embody their own love language, finding alignment within their own soul and heart center — the true brain of man. Practice this love meditation for 3 to 5 minutes or until you feel called to end this love practice.
If you so desire or feel called, I highly recommend reflecting upon the energy that transpired during your meditation by capturing the essence of the moment through the written word, a prophetic manifestation and healing practice that has been passed through the evolution of time. When we write something, it becomes sacred law, inked into the eternal time of man, black and white, matrix, and ethereal world.
Try responding or reflecting upon the following questions:
What does my love need?
How do I limit and control the love in my life?
In what ways do I nourish and encourage my independence? In what ways am I dependent, needy, or stubborn, refusing to give and allow others to be independent?
How does this lack or abundance of independence and cooperation effect my daily life? My soul power? My heart force? My love energy?
Do I want to be seen, loved, and acknowledged for the light that I am? Or do I find identification in my sorrow, anguish, and isolation? If so, why?? What do I receive from being the light? What do I receive from isolation?
Do I really want to be free? What is free? What does it take for me to feel free?
How can I help others express their freedom? Where does co-existence began and end for me? for the world? for my family? for my friends? for my career and professional relationships?
Planetary Aspects:
