This week as the moon begins its closing journey to the new Moon, we are being drawn inward again for mental realization and inner understanding. This is not necessarily the week to look for clarity or force things along, instead, we should continue on the current path with reverence and grace. Any dramatic changes or announcements that you are itching to make should be postponed until mid-February. Speaking too soon about a matter that is bound to change may come back to bite you in the foot. Instead of broadcasting your every move this week, dial back and focus on each task at hand. Avoid multi-tasking. This is the week to tune in and focus, not tune out and expand.

This week will challenge the ways in which we communicate and manifest our visions and desires. January’s powerful Eclipse season still has us fooling away at some project, new venture, promotion, idea or collaboration, but by now we are more mature and grounded, more realistic about how we can see this through. For many of us Monday may feel like a drag as we deal with the rewarding effects of the Scorpio First Quarter Moon. The First Quarter Moon in aspect terms is a 90 degree square to the Sun. October 2018: Love New Moon in Libra Meditation Ritual and Horoscopes

The new Moon in libra is a time of great curiosity. It is a moment in the snapshot of our lives that seeks to find the perfect relationship between 

Independence and sharing, selflessness  and greed. This pink balsamic moon reflects the healing presence of Venus and her focus for this Retrograde season, chosen peace.

Over the past two or three months of Summer and parts of spring we experienced an intense Retrograde season that included the backward spin of 5-6 planets at one time. This cosmic slow down created decay in our life, a period of shedding and revelation that led to some brave new leap, a epiphany of self-love and service, the desire to reinvent the way we share and love once again, the challenging yet simple road map to inner peace.

A Meditative Ritual for the October 2018 Love Moon in Libra:

Start this meditation by finding a quiet place to unwind, relax, and tap in. Before settling into your meditation pose, posture, or position, locate something to write with, preferably and ink, and a journal or piece of paper to write on. Begin your meditative ritual by placing your hand or fist over your heart/message center. Intentionally clear your mind of all expectations, thoughts, and beliefs on what this should feel like. This practice encourages each of the one to embody their own love language, finding alignment within their own soul and heart center — the true brain of man. The Fall Equinox signifies more than a change of season, climate, and activity. It also marks the beginning of Libra season, the time of the scales. We see this rhetoric in the form of werewolves and witches, western cultures way of speaking truth with a sprinkle of bull.

The September 2018 New Moon in Virgo continues its natal path through the Zodiac after a illuminating Leo New Moon and Solar Eclipse. This fiery time set our insides ablaze, creating earthquakes within our souls to break up the destruction of holding on to the past. Scorpio desires control and Venus needs connection. Venus will be in Scorpio until October 31st and we should use this long transit to uncover the deepest parts of ourself. The First Quarter Moon is the second major phase of the lunar cycle. It represents a period of balance, illumination and darkness and fullness and void. When the Moon is waxing and half-lit we are conscious of the path and it’s unfoldment — the seeds of the new moon are sprouting and a sense of direction overcomes us. The FQ Moon is a time of ripeness and productivity. We feel inspired and courageous motivating us to walk closer and implement the first phases of the dream. Although this period can be productive it is best to pace yourself and be realistic about what is to be expected and accomplished in this fluctuating time.

The September FQ Moon occurs in the 9th constellation of the Zodiac Sagittarius. Sagittarius is a mutable fire sign whose polarity is yang, the masculine essence and left side of the brain. When the FQ Moon occurs in Sagittarius we are reminded of the deep lessons of last months Scorpio FQ Moon. Instead of imagining new ways to transform we are blessed with the optimism of Sagittarius to see them through. Our vision is expansive, non-traditional, and creative. August 2018: Scorpio First Quarter Moon and Cleansing Water Ceremony

On August 18, 2018, the moon is half full. It is waxing and growing brighter in illumination. When the moon is waxing into fullness we are most aware of our desires and needs to grow. We see the future just as we begin to receive open doors on how to get there. The First Quarter Moon phase is the most fertile time of the lunar cycle. It is the moment where we work in our budding gardens to reap the abundance of last quarter moon's harvest. 

The First Quarter Moon occurs in misty Scorpio. This FQM is deep, intense, and sensual. It tickles our most sensitive soft spots so that we can peacefully move through them to build a sturdy foundation on solid ground. Relationships and shared resources are highlighted under this waxing moon. It foreshadows sporadic group ventures, testy joint investments, and outlandish community healing. 

Creative projects that involve shared resources, community facilities, water, mysticism, occult knowledge, and deep spiritual practice will be highlighted and favored. Scorpio is often symbolized as a grieving or over-attached mother. Mother related issues or experiences may surface during this time. 

During this period it is best to connect with your emotional and spiritual body. Mediation, yoga, acupuncture, massage, blood cleansing, detox, and foot baths are very useful and received well at this time.
